Hi, I'm Freya and I love to create edible works of art. I make all of my cakes and cupcakes from scratch with fresh, quality ingredients to ensure that they look and taste fantastic. I hope you enjoy my blog that features some of my favorite projects.

Last year, it was robots, this year it's all about Wild Animals.  Little Quinn celebrated his fourth birthday with a party favor bag-inspired wild animal cake decked out in all of his favorite colors: orange, green and blue.  Underneath was yummy vanilla bean cake with raspberry frosting.  It's all good.  Happy Birthday little buddy!

I received this photo from one of my Etsy customers.  They look super yummy and really cute.  I love those crazy looking chickens and sweet cows. Maybe someday I'll have myself a farm animal party!  Hmmmm...

This set has definitely kept me busy over the past year.  I really had fun working the balloon-inspired, owl cake topper. I love the way the mom stood the owls up in the frosting: they look super-cute if I do say so myself.  Thank so much for the photo!

I made these bowling cupcake toppers for little Bailey, who turned six this weekend. Bailey's mom requested black icing which was a little tricky, since typically there is so much food coloring in black icing that the tastes icky. In the end, I tried a black chocolate and it was much better than vanilla black, but I digress. I think the glittery toppers really looked cute paired with the bowling balls and pins.

One of my personal goals this year, was to learn how to make cute sugar cookies. After spending hours reading SweetSugarBelle's amazing sugar cookie blog, I was really inspired. I used her recipes and methods and I have to say that they were the best looking and tasting sugar cookies I've ever made. At the rate I'm going, they may be the last ones I make until Christmas time this year. I like the drippy ice cream cone and the cupcake!

I decided that the ladies at Noonday needed some cupcakes, so I whipped up 3 dozen yummy cupcakes to say "Thank you" for being so great to work with. Besides, after spending the past year making owls, owls and more owls, I figured I had to make a set for personal use. So sweet.

These were for the family! I made these toppers for Etsy and didn't sell a one. Oh well, the red velvet cupcakes were yummy in our tummies. Happy Valentine's Day to the best family a girl could wish for.
